turbo works only sometimes

Guys,
I just got my 84 GN on the road today after it sat outside for 6 years in Michigan. While driving I noticed that the turbo boost seems very strange. Sometimes both lights on the dash come on, indicating full-boost, which you can feel the pull...very strong. Sometimes no boost comes in even though I have my foot slammed to the floor. Sometimes only the low-level boost comes on. Anyone have a clue as to what I can look at to get full boost everytime? The O2 sensor is broken, I noticed that today. I am replacing it tomorrow.

Sounds like the wastegate is rusted/corroded and sticking open.

Thanks for the info. The waste-gate was stuck when I checked it before driving it the first time. I freed it but it must not be correct. I know very little about these cars so I'll be asking alot of questions.
