Does anyone have any tips/advice on the correct procedure to change out the weatherstriping along the roof rails of a solid roof GN around the door glass? How the trim attaches/detaches, adhesive required, etc. I would like to know as much as I can about it so I can minimize mess-ups and/or find out whether I should leave it up to a professional. thanks

If you are replacing the weatherstripping, use a small scraper or screwdriver to scrape the weatherstrip from the channel. The channels are screwed to the body and there is a layer of insulating tape on the back side of it. There are also about 4 push in clips(2 at the front and 2 at end of the weatherstrip) that need to be pulled out. You can reuse these. When reinstalling the new weatherstrip, use 3M's weatherstrip adhesive and push it into the channel until it seats over the lip. It is actually a lot easier than it sounds.
