can anyone tell me if i have to get a hole harness when changing over a 84 cold air car to 87 engine

84 would be a "hot air" car ...

No ... read the articles in the tech section (there's some nice detailed swap instructions...) Basically you run a wire for the MAT and use an 87 MAF.
