E85 is available in our area!

WOW! 110 octane, any one tried this fuel.

Other than the vac canister, what else would be
considered not compatible with e85 fuel?

The AFR for E85 is around 9.5:1 (vs gasoline 14.7:1)

You need about 30% MORE fuel, so you need a chip calibrated for that and a pump and injectors that can supply that much more fuel.

What about using it as an octane booster? Like 16% e85, balance 94 pump gas? 2gal e85+10Gal 94 is like 96.6 octane.


I should be able to adjust fuel pressure to make it richer @WOT.

It could work ... the extra octane ought to allow for more boost and a touch more timing ...
