Hi folks,
The stainless braided hose that runs to my hood-mounted FP gauge rubbed a hole in the A/C evap line, and I'm wondering if there is any reason why I couldn't repair it by having a 'patch' welded over the hole. Any opinions on whether this would be a cost effective repair vs. just replacing the evap?? Of course, I would solicit the services of a good welder... (shoot... I can't seem to get a picture to upload... it's about 1 meg... is that too big?.. any help on that??) Anyhow, the hole is about the size of a fingernail, on the aluminum line between the dryer canister and the evap core. Thoughts?
