How exciting do you want a dome light to be?

A version that is rectangular and has two switchable map lights was an option. Handy for reading time slip splits during night sessions. :brows:

You can upgrade to the optional C95 reading lamp that Scott mentioned. You'll have to source all of the parts used. And you'll probably need two different cars to do it. To bad I cant post a pic but if you can look on eBay at any of the GNX auctions as those guys usually have good pics of the headliner as the C95 lamp was standard on the GNX. This is the lamp that has a chrome housing with a rectangular center lens and two round reading lamps on the side with switches to turn them on. Now that style of lamp was an option on just about every Buick built in the 80's along with the luxury cars offered by Olds and Cadillac.Plenty of them out there. Grab everything and just cut the wires somewhere at least a foot or so from the lamp. Now you need one more part that is G-Body specific. The lamp mounts to a steel plate in place of the small round dome lamp. No big deal. Just find yourself a G-Body Cutlass that has the square dome lamp. This is a smaller version with out the 2 reading lamps more or less. Make sure you note of how it mounts to the roof bow. And grab everything. Especially the 3 screw in studs that hold the lamp to the mounting plate. Just cut the wires and solder everything back together. Oh and I guess you've figured out that the headliner needs to be dropped to do all of this.
