ok fired up my fresh engine yesterday, stated right up but there wash some ticking from the valvetrain. oil pressure is at @60 psi cold, on the drivers side i have oil on about half the rockers and on the passenger side its dry except assembly lube. engine was primed before startup and i'm using comp roller lifters. where should i look first? TIA

Is the front cam bearing solid or grooved (or the front cam journal on the cam?) Is the front bearing clocked correctly for the oil passages?

If you are using a 109 block, there should be groove in the block (journal) and it should be OK.

Is it maybe an oil galley plug left out (or popped out?)

Too much assembly lube and clogging up the pushrods/galley?
