Need to install a driveshaft loop on my TR. I've unbolted the u-bolts that hold the driveshaft to the rear axle yoke, but I can't seem to get it to slide forward so I can drop it down. Any suggestions would be great.

stick a prybar between the u joint and the yoke on the rear end. This will help in aid in sliding the driveshaft into the transmission and will allow you to remove it.

I believe if you remove the driveshaft from the transmission, you may allow transmission fluid to exit the car.

All you need to do is have it out of the rear yoke, then push it forward as described to get it swung out a bit. Slide the loop over it, and stick the driveshaft back in the yoke. Bolt the loop up, then the driveshaft up.
