Well, looks like I'll need a header panel for a GN. Don't ask.

Anyone like to share experiences on the fit of the fiberglass / G-Body parts unit?

Is the G-body unit (http://www.gbodyparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=71) the same as this one (http://www2.partstrain.com/store/?Ntt=Header%20Panel&N=1585%209801%204294967009)?

I have no idea if those are the same. However, if they are both the Taiwan parts (which is likely), is they are not known to have the best fit A used GM part might be better (and cheaper) option.

I recently installed an aftermarket header panel on my 87 GN. I don't know where it came from but imagine it was an import. It came with 3 L-shaped metal brackets but no information on what to do with them. I had to cut out attachment points for headlight bezels and jury rig a number of the attachment points including a setup for the grill. The fit was "okay" at best - about 1/8 difference in width. I kept my old header panel - it was not beat up that bad - and may consider trying to repair the old one at some time.

Thanks for the confirmation.
I took Scott's advice and stayed away from the aftermarket unit.
