The Hotchkis springs are stiff (about a 600 Lb./in. rating), and would not be the best setup for drag racing. Nor would a lowered ride height at all.

Normal TRW stock replacement springs are about 346 Lb./in. The HD ones are 421 Lb/in. No idea what the Eibach lowering units are rated at.

I have been thinking of putting some lowering springs on here lately myself. There was a time not long ago that this would have been UN-thinkable for me but I have seen a couple of mildly lowered cars that look really good. Of course you do have to live with the firmer ride and be a little more concious of ground clearance. I need to replace my fronts here pretty soon anyway so I would appreciate some more opinions on this as well.
BTW, if you choose to go with the Eibach kit, Jeg's has got them for about $100 cheaper than what I saw on the PartsAmerica link here.

Re-read my post and realized that I should have made clear I was talking about all four springs, not just the fronts.

I've had that recommended to me as well; just leave old stockers in.
