Ran my Turbo Regal for the first time Saturday, temp was about 80*. Time slips are below.

Run 1 2 3 4
60 2.453 2.200 2.353 2.573
330 6.181 5.775 6.008 6.454
1/8 9.137 8.697 8.960 9.446
MPH 83.54 84.02 83.53 82.37
1000 11.679 11.224 11.503 12.012
1/4 13.838 13.374 13.662 14.187
MPH 103.96 104.39 103.98 103.96

All runs where made on 225/60-15 Daytona HR tires, 17lbs of boost and the mods in my signature. First run I started to build boost, it wasn't showing on gauge. Second run I got up to 3 lbs. The car didn't seem to launch very good for the 3rd and 4th runs, it moved out afetr letting off the break and then the turbo started spooling. Tires didn't seem to spin when launching but I wasn't able to build boost at the line without the car starting to push. Had a great time and the car went faster then I thought it would and I know there is alot left in it if I can get my 60 foots down. I'm very happy with it.

any chance you got a powerlogger ?

id love to see whats going on with car when you go wide open..

This car should be going mid to low 12's with ease.. "with traction of course":cooldance

have you thought about an alky system?

No powerlogger. I've been mixing 6 gallons of E85 with 10 gallon BP 93 octane. Scanmaster is showing zero knock and the O2 millivolts where at 800. My timing in the chip are at the base settings and I've added 10% more fuel over all and 10% fuel in the first gear setting. Maybe thats why the car was taking off like it was, to much fuel in first gear? The reason is my chip is burned for a stock turbo, I have a TT chip on order burned for the PTE-44. Other then that the car runs great. The block learn numbers are a leaner at cruise and idle(136-140) from the E85. With just straight 93 pump gas the block learn is at 128 at cruise and idle. Also still running stock elbow and down pipe.

A few suggestions:
- Traction
- A slightly higher stall lockup converter
- Traction
- Tuning a little leaner. Going for 0.780 mV is still very safe.
- Traction
- Last, but not least, traction.

If those runs with the 2.5 short times were down to 1.9, 1.8, or even 1.7-1.6 short times, imagine your ET's! I realize a separate pair of wheels and tires may just not be possible, or may be a big pain, but they really can make a big difference.

If nothing else, practicing your launch technique might get what you have to come closer to low 2.x leaves consistently.

im positive after you get the matching chip for that turbo, you will see alot better track results and all around better performance and fuel mileage

This was what they call a fun day at the track but it was still set up like a regular bracket race. We plan on going to a test and tune some time before the end of the year. I have no problem doing seperate wheels and tires, thats how I ran my 62 Pontiac. Tires and a converter just are't in the budget for this year. I'll practice launches and do more tuning when we go to a test and tune.

Heres a couple engine pictures. My home made cold air pipe. I still have to clean up the welds and repaint the pipes and get some new silicone hoses for the intake pipes.
