I am a retired senior in Ohio and Vietnam Vet. I believe my 87 GN is the lowest mileage ( 13,800), Unrestored, most documented GN ( over 70 pieces of paper) in the country. You would probably agree the value of these cars comes from five main areas ..#1)..DOCUMENTATION- #2) ORIGINALITY - #3) LIMITED OWNERSHIP - #4) MILES - #5) CARFAX / AUTOCHECK VERIFIED. #2)..Mine is ALL ORIGINAL, and with $6819 in options - Makes it one of the most highly optioned Grand Nations in the country

#3)..I purchased the car in 2006 from the ORIGINAL OWNER

#4)..Only 13,900 miles since new ( verified also through the " paper trail " indicated below )

good luck with the sale BUT unfortunately this is a very bad time to sell; especially the "special interest" - garage queen types [not an insult] - you might get more of what you are asking from a NON board member.....

Frankly, "most optioned" is dangerous territory. There is at least one GN that has a window sticker that spreads across two stickers. So its tough to make claims like that.

In addition, trying to get top dollar for automobiles in this market is generally not possible. Short of taking them to the major auctions (i.e. Barrett-Jackson, etc.) this is a buyers market, not a sellers market. And even in such venues, I don't expect any records to be set. A lot of no/low mile cars are going to be sold for peanuts vs. what their previous highs have been.

And in addition to Scott's comments, not being the orininal owner and asking that type of money may proove to be a tough row to hoe.

I wish you all the good luck in the world. You might want to wait for the economy to improve though.

Very nice car. Highly unlikely it is the most documented in the country. These statements may work for selling other muscle cars, but when it comes to GNs statements like this will get you eaten alive! You also have it priced at least $10 to $15K above current market value for a ~15K mile car. Price is in all honesty closer to current asking prices for GNs with around 1000-2000 actual miles or less. Doesn't mean they are selling for that, that is what people are asking for 1000 mile cars. Since you only paid $19K for it you are one of the luckier individuals and should at least get your money back which is more than most people could ask in this market. Heck you might even make a few thousand dollars :) Shouldn't have a great deal of trouble selling in the low $20K range. Good luck!

Point is, only "rare" or exotic cars will increase in value and the GN is not that exotic.

I have never seen a price tag like this on a buick

I had over $ 20,000 in reciepts for my WE-4 (which is the rarest of all buicks) and I only got $8,500 and was happy to get it. My car was as pristine as it gets. No GN is worth 35 THOUSAND dollars.:bslap:

WE-4 (which is the rarest of all buicks)
Um...no. The GNX has the WE4 beat by a bit. Turbo '82 GNs as well. And certain rare combos (Stage 2 GS, 4 speed GS, '70 white 4 speed GSX) beat the WE4 cars by a bit.

Regardless, I think we've beat this one to death.

I've owned several GN's, WE-4, & a couple of Limiteds, and except for the GNX, i don't believe many are as rare as my 87' Rosewood Turbo Limited w/"grey" leather interior??

All, this is a "Cars For Sale" area. Please let this thread die, or it simply will be locked closed. :nono:

I think we've beaten this around enough here. Though it could be discussed more in another area of the forum. Just not under "Cars For Sale". Let those selling cars get their posts seen, please.

This thread is closed.

If someone is interested in the car, please contact the owner directly.
