While it will have its usual bunch of rice and illogical things, there are some GNs displayed (and molested) in the movie. Even in the promo...

Coming out in April. You have been warned.

Its about time they put a real car in a movie but why does it have to make these crappy V8 noises LOL If they know what they where doing it would sound like a jet trying to take off LOL

That's all just dubbed in sound. None of it is likely real.

I was reading where one of the :quote:GNs:quote: actually has the body turned around BACKWARDS on the frame so they can drive it backwards faster for one of the stunts...
:duh::rolleyes:

I saw the trailer and was really excited...until it got wrecked. Now does a turbo-charged fuel injected V6 really sound like a carb. V8. NO! It's great that they put a real balls-to-the-wall car in the series i agree but the hype is gonna surround the rebirth of Dom's blacked-out Charger. oh well just another reason for tuner fans to underestimate the black beast.:tup:

They used 3 GN's to make the movie. 2 were 84's hot air cars (one small block and one with a modded hot air engine) and one was a 86. They got all the parts off Kirban to make them look like GN's. They got the fender vents, badges, and other stuff from him. The car that gets wrecked don't worry about that one. It did have a small block in it so those sounds might even be real. The video where you see close up's of the car or him inside it that is the 86. The 86 was more of a show car and wasn't damaged in any way. The others are pretty much stripped inside and made to be movie stunt cars. Yes one of them they took the body off and turned it around. VIN DIESEL was in the front making it look like he was driving it but the stunt car driver was in the back seat really driving the car forward that looked back wards. There was some pics floating around of the trunk open and you see the engine but I don't have them. Remember movies are all smoke and mirrors even tho it looks like that GN got battered up it didn't. Some of the dents were actually air brushed on the car to make it look much worse then it really was for the big screen. They wanted to use the turbo cars but finding stunt drivers that can control a turbo Buick is almost impossible anymore so they used small blocks as more stunt drivers can control them in high speed stuff. The one hot air was used in some stunts. We hate to loose any GN's but at least they trashed 2 hot air cars and not the 86!

Here are a few pics of the one hot air stunt car....

That's the best info I have seen so far concerning the cars for the movie. Thanks for posting all of that! :cool:

Well that was a waste of 4 mins. :tdown: Brushes over the Buicks (because he don't have a friggin clue about them) and puts the spot light on the rice crap and some POS $1200 Camaro. I'm glad that ass clown don't represent GN's in anyway.

Just trying to keep people informed. Or "warned"...

The summary is: I wouldn't waste good money to see it. The shorts you can find on the web are about all the GN scenes you'll probably see.

The fact that they 'cloned' Hot Rod's F-Bomb Camaro is pretty sad, too. Especially since its so...weak.

*sigh* Back to Buicks.
