Note that the car is not powered by a turbo V6. They basically flipped the body on the frame.

Doubt it. Chances are 99.999% they put SBCs' in everything to make it simple.

well from what i read somewhere they said they used 8 TR for the movie. 6 true GN's and 2 Ttypes. They were all turbo v-6s except for the the one with the body turned around and that had a SBC in it. Its a shame they wasted some of these TR for the movie. There was a making of video and the guys who built the cars said it was nice to start with a powerful car, all they had to do was some suspension mods and performance goodies. they said it was a change, Not like all the FWD cars and rice rockets they had to completely revamp and pour tons money into to make the faster. :D long live the GN and hope they don't smash anymore for movies.
