How do you find what production number an 87 GN is. I do not mean the last digits in the vin number as i think that number is for all Regals. I am thinking that somewhere on the car there must be an actual GN number from 1 to 20193 to show weather it was the first or last GN produced.

There is no number that indicates the "first" or "last" GN. These cars rode down a production line with other types of G-body cars, so doing so would have been difficult. Not to mention that despite the build orders coming in in a certain order, the cars were not always built in exactly that order.

The "last" GN was easily identified, because it was the last car off the assembly line at the Pontiac, MI plant while they were making G-bodies. However, it has been argued that it might not have had the highest VIN number.

Regardless, chances are slim to none that you will ever know if you have GN #123 or #666 or #10000.
