how tight should the piston movement be on the rods? other motors i've worked on the pistons always move freely on the wrist pin, but on the 6 i cant hardly get the piston to move without some force.. it has JE pistons and wrist pins, stock rods, they are a pressed on setup.. or will this free up as heat is introduced to motor? dont seem normal, but have to ask to be sure

placed a piston and rod in the oven @ 200* for a couple minutes and it seems to free up and be normal with heat, but does tighten back up when cool...

But, the motor won't be at 200F upon startup. I bet that would tear things up quick on a few cold starts.

That doesn't sound right ... they might have a little resistance when cold, but should move fairly freely.

they arent real hard to move cold, but do have more resistance than ive seen before.. and all seem the same not one tight one loose etc;;;;
