I'm getting ready to rebuild my 84 t type engine. I'm not sure what type of pistons to use. The engine has well over 100k on it. I'm sure it's going to need boring. I'm going to use the car for a nice driver and maybe at the track once and a while. A few of my friends have told me to buy forged pistons and others have said hypereutectic and some have said just stock cast. Can someone please help me make the right choice?

While you have it apart, I'd just go forged and look into those that offer the "slipper" coating on the skirts. TRW, Weisco, BRC, JE, Diamond all (most likely) have off the shelf replacements that are good quality.

Hypers might save you a couple bucks, but while you have it this far apart, why scrimp?

TA Performance, Full Throttle Speed, Cotton's, etc.

TRWs used to be available via Summit/Jeg's too. If you are working with an engine building, usually they can get the TRWs from a local speed warehouse supplier for a good price.
