can anybody tell me if this is a stock converter?

looks like it... the stock was a D5.... Keller will probably chime in and verify.

The "5 5 5" around the edge means it is a "D5". That tells that is is a lockup unit, with a stall of around 2200 RPM. Unless it was modified, it is factory. Will work OK with the TE44. A mild upgrade would be fine as well.
