I have an up-graded turbo on my 85' T-TYPE,and it came with a (#C9385-30)
chip. It idles perfect, brings that turbo to life but runs way too rich, the exhaust fumes burns youre eyes, and the engine light comes on. When I put the stock chip in,the engine light doesnt come on,air/fuel ratio is good, but the idle lobes real low, like if its a cammed out V8. Do I need,or is there a chip in between the factory and C9385-30? :dunno:

- If the "Service Engine Soon" light goes on, have you checked what error code is set? It can be done with a paper clip. Instructions on how to do it are on this site.
- Who made the "mystery chip"?
- Do you have stock injectors?
- There is a IAC / minimum air setting procedure in the tech area on the website that may help your idle.

Ultimately, getting a new chip for your combo (from Red Armstrong, Turbo Tweak, etc.) might be a good choice. A better choice might be switching to a 86/87 ECM, chip, and MAF because they are much easier to work with.
