GM Carlisle - Celebrating Turbo Buicks! June 21-23

This is an event that I go to every year. It is held by Carlisle Productions at the fairgrounds in Carlisle, PA. Each year, they host a gathering of a special group of cars. As part of this year's show, they are promoting the 35th Anniversary of the Turbo Buick:


Do you own a 1978-87 Turbo Buick? If so, then we want you to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Turbo Buick at Carlisle in 2013. Carlisle Events is happy to announce the Turbo Buick celebration for the 2013 GM Nationals. Whether you own, drive or are an enthusiast of the Turbo Regal, T-Type, Grand National, GNX or any other Turbo Buick, join your fellow turbo enthusiasts for a celebration of the “six with kick.”


I plan to be there with our car entered on the fairgrounds. Saturday is definitely the best day for the show. Unfortunately, the GM event is probably the smallest of all their annual shows, but it is still a great event.

Not sure at this point if the Buick will be on the fairgrounds that day or not -- may end up tripping down in my truck. Dennis Kirban will be giving two (2) presentations on Saturday and I'd like to try and catch one.

Had a great time at the show this weekend. I parked the Regal under our LS1.com tent and it got lots of attention. Dennis Kirban even stopped in to check it out and he signed his book for me. Mr. Kirban provided two seminars at the show on Saturday - one on the Hurst cars and the other on Turbo Buicks. I attended the latter and then spoke with him briefly afterwards. Some pics from the show (first one is after I set up early Friday morning - Saturday is really the best day to attend as a lot more cars show up):
