Hi guys,
I have a 87 G/National that has a security light that keeps flashing when the key is out of the ignition. I believe this is causing the battery to drain down over the course of a couple weeks of non use. The amp readings go from a low of 22 mil amps to a of 286 mil amps when the security light is flashing. Normal acceptable amp draw is usually around 25+/- mil amps. Is there a reset for the security system, or is there something wrong? Any and all thoughts on this problem are very much appreciated. Thanks in advance

PS The car starts and the security light is off when running .I have tried the PDL reset procedure but the light keeps flashing.
PSS The alarm system is not working. I run a repair shop in upstate NY. The g/national is in my shop. My intention is to 1-repair the anti-theft system so my customer can leave the car sit , without it going dead and 2-make the anti-theft system operational.
