Hey, anyone know where I could find some aluminum brake drums for my 87 gn? did those drums come stock on some other gm vehicle? i heard they did.

I think I read somewhere that they came stock on some Buick wagons and on non-posi turbo regals. I don't know what wagon years to look for. Maybe '83-'87? A couple of year models of these wagons came with power master brakes as well. Don't know if that is an indicator of aluminum drums though.

Aluminum drums were found on TRs that didn't have posi ...

Try other G bodies in the mid 80s (Cutlass 442s had the 8.5" rear for example, might be a good thing to look for, regular Regals, etc.)

pretty much any GM midsize or fullsize car from the late 70's to the mid 80's that didn't have a posi or big police style HD brakes had aluminum drums from the factory. maybe even Camaros, as well.
my 86 Caprice had one (if it would have still had both, they would have went on the Buick), and i see them from time to time in the boneyard. but most of them have long since worn out and been replaced by cheaper steel drums.
