I got my motor pulled and disassembled yesterday. It still had the nylon timing gear in it,it had several teeth missing.I'm wondering if that was causing the knocking? I'm going ahead with the rebuild since the motors already out. What's the basic things I should have done at the machine shop? It's an 85 hotair that won't be abused much,maybe :D
