I have a freind who has owned about 5 of the turbo buick style cars from t-types to GNs to a TTA. He had the transmission rebuilt 3 times in his GN and it was never ever right again. From reading these boards it seems lots of others have this same problem.
Now my GN is starting to have transmission trouble. So I am considering just saving up the money for a brand new replacement transmission that would hold up, it might cost me more up front but int he long run save me money.
My question is from those of you "in the know" what transmission would you recommend. I have heard the name Art Carr thrown around a lot but never seen any pricing attached to it. Can anybody make some recommendations with pricing that I might be able to checkout?
