tachometer hook-up?

How do I hook up a tach in an 87 GN? Mine is a aftermarket one that has a button to change it from4,6,8 cylinder.

Theres a white wire with a green connector up behind the alternator in the harness. It's not connected to anything and there's a second wire with a grey connector (they look like they should be connected together, but DON'T).

The green connector is the tach lead.

The grey connector is the fuel pump test lead.
