I just got a bone stock 1980 Regal turbo with a blown turbo. It has been sitting for a while (since about 2001) and the motor was done in 1999. Everything I find on the web is about the FI models.
What are my options for this for performance? I see an Edelbrock intake and carb setup, but it says it's for non turbo applicaitons. As I understand it, there is no intercooler for the carb models. Holley Projection maybe?
Do I just leave it stock and have the turbo rebuilt? Or are there some basic mods I could do from an air/fuel standpoint and possibly upgrade the turbo for some serious gain? This will be a street car running pump gas, I just want it to be as fun to drive as possible since I will be going through it.
Any info would be great. I oick up the car on Saturday, I just want to know what could be done before I try and drive it. Thanks,
jd
