Where is the best place to locate the Temperature Sensor (VDO) on an 87 GN? I am putting in new thermostat and injectors so I will have a lot of the wiring/plumbing on the intake off.

I just replace the idiot light sensor on the front of the manifold.

Ken-
Sorry to be such a ditz but where exactly is that located? I found a single wire sensor just to the left of the (about 8 o'clock from) thermostat housing where the upper radiator hose comes in and another over to the right and down a bit (about 5 o'clock). I checked the sensor diagram on the tech page and it looked like it was over by the right head. I appreciate your help.

The small sensor on the left side of the intake (standing in front of the car looking towards the firewall... passsenger's side) is for the idiot light. That's the one you replace.

The others are for the ECM temperature sensing and the electric fan.

Another ditz doing the same thing here. Am I looking for the one that screws in horizontally at the front/passenger corner of the intake?
