I looked to see if there was a FAQ but didn't find it. I'm looking at a T-Type in my area. It needs paint but the car is mostly straight and the interior is mint. The only problem with appearance is the car is gold. I don't like the color but the car is in such great shape I can look past this for now.
If I buy it, my mechanic must first bless the car. However, I'd like to spot a bad one before it get's to that point. The only major exterior flaw(s) are a rust spot in each door. It has one at the bottom of both door. This doesn't scare me away because GM made a ton of Regals and a door skin is nothing to me. THe clear coat is going as well but new door or door skins means paint so it all would be dealt with at once.
Last time I stopped to look at it the car had '89 or so TA wheels. It is now wearing correct T-Type wheels. What should I be looking for when I test this car out? I do not yet know the model year and the ODO reads 53k miles. The interior would support this but you never know. A five digit ODO can hide thigs.
