Looking for a nice pair of T Type style rims . They may have been 8 1/2 " wide. Also need stock T Type center caps. Please reply to lovellgl@aol.com Thanks.

You probably want 15x8.5" American Racing "Vector" wheels. See http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/pictureguides/wheels/twheels.html for pictures of those.

The North American General Lee Fan Club has pictures of AR Vectors, Carrol Shelby's, and Westerns. The latter at http://209.43.123.28/build/wheels/western.html - and they do have some distinct differences, like a smooth flat center area. They weren't used on the General Lee, either.

Thanks for the pictures, Scott. Now I am confused ! I had a pair of 15 X 8 1/2' American Racing Vectors on my original t type in '88-90. However, those wheels used shouldered lugs and looked to be A R wheels, but My Buick hub caps snapped into the center and I never lost one ! The center hole was similar, but not an exact match to the O.E.M. wheel - -. ???

*shrug* Dunno. The ones pictured on this site are all ones that I have handled. The American Racing wheels take mag (shouldered) nuts with washers, and the ceners are too large to hold a stock centercap. I've modified a few by cutting the bottoms off damaged A/R caps, epoxying it onto a damaged Buick centercap, and painting.
