Not sure why, but I seem to remember the 84/85 cars running about 15.1-15.4 stock.

Thanks I Was Hoping It Would Be A Little Quicker Than That What Do You Guys Think It Would Take To Make It Go Low 14s Or High 13 With Out To Mutch Work Or Sacrificing Reliabilyity And Comfort

high 14's?? :nope: yea right... not in its wettest of dreams. :loll:

15.1? yea, if it was 25 degrees out, bone dry pavement, with drag radials on.

stock hot airs when they were NEW, were 15.9 cars all day long.
21 years later? well, you know the rest..
as for getting her to go fast? make sure shes solid, and all there, then do the spring cleaning, get a scan master, or some sort of scanner, and go from there. I dont think its too unrealistic, to make her go mid 14's with a couple mods here and there.

13.8 (2.1 60') at 20# of boost on a stock turbo and injectors with a chip change, gutted cat, and a 3" exhaust. It ran a 14.4 (2.0 60') bone stock at 20# of boost.

you ran 20lbs of boost on a hot air?

It can be done with good tuning and good gas (not street gas). Buddy's kid ran his hot air a whole season in the High School points series and it ran high 13s with Dad's hand me down M&H DOTs, an exhaust dump (no cat), a chip, a fuel pump, 108 octane gas, and a K&N Filter.... and 20 psi of boost.

Take a look at the Recipes ... not much more on these cars and they are going pretty quick. Gotta love turbocharging! :yesnod:

yea, ive read that section before... good stuff indeed. though 13.4 on a hot air with 104,000 miles on it?? is that pretty consistant you think? if the engines doin what its supposed to, i could expect that from any hot air? thats insane. thats like a whole 2 and a half second drop from just basic mods you can do with the just stuff from around the house lol (well, my house anyways) wow, maybe i will get a hot air just for GP.
(general purpose) why not? you can get a decent example for like 5 grand. after the last major snow, kiss my bmw byebye. shes gettin replaced.
though, after puttin that turbo 'swoosh' simulator on her, i may not want to give it up :loll:
