Is it better for a lightly to medium modified engine to have true dual exhaust with two mufflers and high flow cats that are 2.5" or just one 3" pipe with highflow cat. Also, I saw a flowmaster kit and was wondering if an yone is using it and what they think. It's 2.5".

I've seen basic TRs running all of the above. Either the 2.5" duals or 3" singles will do the job. Pretty much just comes down to your budget and the look you want.

The one I would NOT recommend is the Flowmaster. Its set up to be used with the stock Y pipe, and still uses a crossflow muffler. http://store.summitracing.com/largeimage.asp?part=FLO-17102

A better choice for someome on a budget is the Hooker system. Budget priced, widely available, and flows well. Just not stainless. http://store.summitracing.com/largeimage.asp?part=HOK-16810HKR

Thanks for the info. Also though if a custom exhaust was made madrel bent would using flowmaster mufflers in it be bad? I've always liked their sound but have heard mixed results of their performance. If they're not good flowing, what would be the best choice for a nice sound not too loud but noticeable.
