I have a 1984 GN that has goofy shift patterns. The trans seems to shift properly when cold but after it warms up it sometimes goes from first to third or fourth and instant convertor lockup, any ideas. TIA

Sticking/leaking valves in the valve body, worn TV, low fluid pressure (worn pump) ...

It probably needs some pressure gauges hooked up and a thorough diagnosis.
