I am building a 84 3.8 for installation in my Suzuki Samuri. My question is the engine came equiped with a TH 200 and I have a like new 700R4, that I would like to adapt. Can anyone tell me if this is possible.

To mate the Chevy transmission bellhousing to the Buick engine you just need a simple adapter plate. Click here (http://www.tciauto.com/specialty/adapter_kits.htm) and scroll to the middle of the page.

Somebody in richmond,VA is doing the same thing! What are the odds? I haven't seen one of those tiny 4wheelers in a while.

Thanks for the help. I knew there had to be a way. I found in a catalog that the 231 Buick and the 4.3 Chevy. use the same Torque Convertor. I was at one time very active in street rodding, but have been dormant for about 20 years. I had a 231 in a Datsun PU in 1978. Ran good when the trans wasn't slipping and leaking. It had a st 300 trans. Back in the late 50's and Early 60's I ran a C gas car with a 401 Buick.

I am building the Suzuki to pull behind my motor home and have gotten tired of being pushed by the cars. The 1300 tops out at around 60 MPH. Little tired.
