Jack it higher? This isn't the 70's! :loll:

On stock 7" wheels - 235/60-15

On 8" or 8.5" wheels - 275/50-15

On TA "GNX style" 16" wheels - 245/50-16 all around, or 255/50-16 on the rear.

Other size wheels - it depends. If you notch the frame or roll/remove the trim, you can fit more tire.

do you have to roll the fenders to fit 275-60-15 on 8 inch rim
with 3.5 backspace?

... on most cars with most tire brands, yes. Some tire brands tend to have a "straighter" sidewall and can sneak in with minimal rubbing if you have a bit more backspace (3 3/4" say).

275/60-15 on an 8"? I would think not if you have good backspacing. The 60's are actually a bit thinner due to profile, and the 8" wheels are narrower than 8.5" wheels. I have 275/50's on 8.5" wheels (sit a bit 'squat-er') with only 3.5" backspace, and I'm getting by. No rolled lips or removed trim. But I'd really like a 4" backspace to feel more comfortable.

i wanting to run a 28inch tall tire for my street driving " hence 275-60-15-"
since i installed my Th 400 in my ttype.

I guess i need to check and see if i can get a weld draglite with 4inch back
space.

The GN was 8inch Bogart rims with 4inch back space and tucks nicely
with 26x10.5

Think someone locally found that by flipping over a 3.5" backspace and polishing the unpolished side, they got what they needed.

I have 255/60/15 on my stock wheels with no modifications to anything. Fit is just fine and doesn't rub on anything. The only drawback I have found is that they are a bit wobbly on that narrow rim. I have plans for 8" rims in the future.

I have the stock rim size 15x7's on it with 215's and wanted to put 245's or 255's on the back, will they fit? I'm thinking about lifting the back up a little bit with maybe 7/16 spacer.

I don't consider 'wobbly' to be acceptable. Nor something that throws the speedo off calibration (and thus the ECM's view if how fast you are going) as acceptable. *shrug* Call me picky...

So...245/255 by what aspect ratio?

And a spacer where?

right now I have 215's on 15x7's all the way around but I want to put bigger tires on the back i was thinking 245's or 255's , and I am going to lift the back up alittle bit with air shocks or heavier duty springs and i have wheel spacers for the back but don't know if i'm going to put them on

Ok, you're picky. :lmao:

The ECM is concerned how fast you are going?
Can this odd tire size be a contributor to why I experience a TCC lock/unlock seemingly at the will of the ECM?
Do I need to start another discussion on this subject?

Precisely.

Please put discussion regarding the ECM/VSS behavior in an appropriate area.

no problems
...except that 255/60 is a larger diameter than stock. Caveat emptor.

Runnin 295/60/15 on a gbodypart.com 15x10 stock appearing GN wheel. You'll need a 1/4 spacer if you dont have aluminum drums. Very minor rub on frame if you bottom out hard but fills out real nice. ( Rear wheels )
