I am the proud original owner of an '86 GN. However, I am experiencing some engine problems that currently have me stumped! After reading the codes off the ECM, I traced one problem back to a faulty CTS. I replaced the sensor and it helped alot but still the engine skips and knocks under high boost. After referring to your chart on thermistor resistance values, my reading of 175 ohms was way over what a 160 deg. thermostat should be. So I replaced it with a 180 deg. thermostat, which was the lowest temp. thermostat available at the local parts store. But didn't help much, and readings on the thermistor are still at 185 ohms which translates to 210 deg. Are these readings accurate? Should I get a temp. gauge? And if so, would this cause the problem I'm experiencing? Thanx for any help.
