The aluminum wheels on my 87 T-type have gotten to the point where no amount of wheel cleaner and scrubbing gets them clean. They have a permanent dull, dark, dirty look. Anybody find a product that will restore them to them to the light, bright look they use to have?

welp, if youre to the point of no return, you can either A. use a really harsh wheel cleaner, which is the 'for non clearcoat wheels' stuff, from eagle one, and a very stiff bristled brush. heres the deal though, you cant let that stuff sit on too long, cuz when you do, the acid in the cleaner opens the pores, and lets the dirty cleaner seep back into the pores, and then you re-soil the wheels all over again. start with a cool wheel, spray one section down, working from the bottom to the top. once you spray a section down, scrub fast and hard, for just a few seconds, then immediately wash it off with the hose. do the entire wheel like this. Or B., you could also try a high speed power washer. if it cleans the heck out of my driveway, im sure it will do the trick to your aluminum. if that dont work, youll have to take em to a local place to have them media blasted. :)
