I've gathered that some people do away with the entire oil cooler assembly after replacing the stock radiator with a F-Body model due to the lack of oil cooler fittings on the F-Body radiators. Some people say they run no oil cooler whatsoever as others have gone with an external cooler. It sounds like a bad idea to run without an oil cooler of some sort? True?

Sounds awfully dumb to me. That same system cools the turbo bearings as well. We do not have water cooling (well...coolant cooling, anyway) to our turbos, so the oil is it. So that one little pass through the radiator is it. An external cooler is actually an upgrade of sorts. Other than cost, why not?

I bought my car with a turbo saver installed. To me, it doesn't look like much more than a remote filter installation. Who has a compact heat exchanger that could be used just upstream of the turbo? Between the FMIC, the rad and the trans cooler, I've already got a bunch of fins competing for air right there. TIA
