I think my seat motors went out on my 84 t-type? You can hit the button and it makes the motor noise it normally does but it does not move. HOW can I fix them or where can i get new or used seat motors.

I'm not sure how to fix that but you can find new motors at www.postonbuick.com

Yes I had the same problem --- the heavy plastic coupling between the seat motor and the transmission failed. The coupling is 7$ at a GM dealer.Gm parts direct has the coupling for 7$ + shipping --- part# 20614175

Is the coupling easy to replace? I have the same prob, but on another g-body.

Not a difficult job. Remove the seat from the car --- turn upside down --- loosen motor bracket --- coupling fits between and slips over motor and trans. shafts --- remove old coupling ---install new one --- line up & tighten motor --- reinstall seat --- 2 hr. job. Good luck.

If we don't have this detailed on the site, it would be a nifty thing for a writeup. With pics would be great!

(Did I say nifty?)
