what is the difference between electrical and mechanical gauges and what is the best choice for Grand Nationals?

eletrical gauges have sending units like your cars OEM sensors,
mechanical gauges are just the oposite.. like the oil pressure gauges actually has a small oil line that runs from the engine to the oil pressure gauge
the both work and are affective, it mainly comes down to what you want.

Thanks for the info again. I think i'll go with electrical the thought of having a tube of oil in the passenger compartment isn't too thrilling to me.

im running electrical gauges, in my T, but have used mech gauges in the past in other vechiles..
PLus with eletrical gauges, you dont have to make a big hole in the firewall or steering column boot for the water temp probe like you do with mechanical gauges
