Can someone please help in isolating the problem I am having with my 87 GN brakes. The pedal is very hard all the time, the brake light stays on , but the car does stop at least at low speeds. Based on what I have read in the thetechnical articles, It points toward the accumulator.

Am I on the right track?

All help in fixing this problem is appreciated.

BTY, the car is completely stock with 100K on the odometer.

Does the motor and pump run and cycle? If yes than its the accumulator. If no than its the pump and motor assuming there isn't anything wrong with the power supply circuit.

Thank you for the reponses. I will check it out. BTW, if it is the Accumulator, where can I purchase one?

Kirban's is the only source now, unless they are reselling to others I believe.

www.postonbuick.com has the accumulator, 189.00. says aftermarket so who is to say where they get them. HTH. I have PM problems also, and signs are pointing towards the accumulator, just add it to the list of restoration.
