I just tucked mine in by the vapor canister.

I mounted one for someone over the weekend. Not enough wire to put it where he wanted on the fenderwell. I opened up one of the mounting holes a bit and out it on the stud that holds the cruise cable that goes to the bellows. One 6mm nut and lockwasher...seems to hold well. Wires are fine to the sensor and harness. Easy access for adjustments if needed.

It costs a little more, and is a little more work, but you can buy an extra connecting harness from fullthrottle and mount it inside your car. I have mine in my center console box. The main advantage of this is that it keeps it away from the heat and vibration under the hood, although from what I have seen, they seem to be pretty durable units. I think most folks run them underhood with no problems.
