84 ecm to 87 ecm

is it hard to do. what should i look for. and does the 87 maf sensor just plug in. please help

That's good advice from Ken.

I've done it using Caspers Electronics kit. That kit included the intake air temperature sensor required by the 86-87 ECM. This effort requires running the signal wire from the sensor to the ECM and adding the pin to the ECM wiring harness.

The newer MAF does work with the old 84-85 cable connector, but it is not the best fit.
