car idles poorly and tries to die when in closed loop. Acts and smeels rich. Couldnt remember correct fuel pressure or even what size injectors were in it. Injectors have a green stripe and show #621031(009`s?) chip says pte 42.5 20 degrees timing. Car is stock except for exhaust, downpipe, hotwire kit,and 160 thermostat. Speaking of downpipes, mine is a kirban 3" that fits like a saddle on a sow.(pardon the rural analogy) leaks where it joins to elbow. Might this mislead the 02 sensor?

scanmaster readings at warm idle.

You have 009 injectors.

The car is running rich. See http://www.gnttype.org/images/blmint.gif

The leaking pipe might help cause this. Hard to tell. Knowing your fuel pressure is key for tuning.

Thank you both for your replies. Sorry about my spelling also.(just noticed "smeel" in my post.) Can't find my pressure gauge but will buy one next time I'm in town. What is a good starting pressure to tune from? Also, where do I buy a downpipe that fits the elbow correctly?

Thanks again.

I'd suggest around 43 PSI.

I don't know if anyone makes an aftermarket downpipe for the stock elbow anymore. Please discuss that in the exhaust area. :nono:
