Re: Hungry for Info !!!!

First, the website says anywhere between 12-15Hg in park, with an inch of float is normal vacuum. I get around 16Hg on mine so I would say 17 vacuum is good and strong at idle. Second, from the archives, it does not sound that uncommon to run 175-195 temps. Your chip and the coolant temp sensor determines when the low speed goes on/off. The high speed fan is the one wire deal to the left of the TB, it normally comes on around 220 and runs for like 7 minutes or something. So theoretically, the high speed fan could come on after shut down since the temps still rise for about 15 minutes anyway. I know when I had my engine rebuilt, I had to take it very easy for about 1000 miles I think. Finally, not to sound like a "moderator" the archives/key word search and the website as a whole can get you any info you need. You can find it yourself and prob fix/examine/understand it yourself possibly before you get a reply, just my thoughts, sorry to ramble. Good Luck, Joseph

To whom it may concern: My moderator comment was solely out of respect. I've seen how you guys respond to some people sometime. Great website, keep up the good work.
