New GN owner, needs help and advice
I just recently picked up an 87 GN, and the motor is apart. The gentlemen that I purchased it from took the motor apart because he thought it had a knock, and determined that it was actually a broken flywheel. Anyways, the crank and pistons all look good, but I want to go thru the motor and rebuild it. What are some of the things I should look into changing or adding while the motor is apart. Essentially I would like to have a well balanced weekend cruiser, capable of 12's. Some of the current mods that came with the car are 60 lb injectors, (I realize with the factory turbo, I wont utilize the full potential of these), upgraded chip, Walbro pump and a few other small things. I also need to replace the bumper fillers, should I go with the fiberglass as opposed to the factory rubber ?
