Default How can tell if the ECM is going bad?

My car has started to act strange. I installed the PL card and every since then it has a miss throughout the rpm range. Touch the card and it will almost die and then rev up to around 3k. I got it to not skip a couple of times by pulling the card out some. Well now I can take the card all the way out and it still has that miss. No codes or anything and the case of teh ECM was hot to the touch.

I just do not want to drop the $$$ on another ECM if that is not the problem.

I know it has to have something to do with the ECm as I got it to not miss a couple of times... I guess I am just looking for some re-asurance. Does this sound like something the ECM would/could do?

Car has the TT chip in it and ran real good until this..
