I have a tach I want to install, what do I wire it to on the coil pack?

its the green connector on the driver side of the engine compartment
behind the alternator

So the green wire hooks up to the green connector. The red to any 12V ignition source, black is ground and white is for the illumintation. Does that sound about right?

I found the green connector behind the alternator do i just splice that wire with the one I'm running to the tach?

the green wire should have a spade connector on the end, i just used a mating connector to for my tach wire,

do they sell those spade connectors at any auto parts store and what size is it?

Please don't cut the harness. Put an insulated 'spade' terminal on your tach wire, and insert that in the green female connector. Do it with some class. This is a Buick, after all.

Depending on what brand of tach you have, it may work, or it may still need to be modified to work....
