87 T-Turbo w WE4 Special Turbo

Is it worth selling and putting a conventional turbo unit in? Only 1000 were made

What's it worth or should I rebuild and put it on the shelf and use a new one...

While the WE4 cars are rare, they do not have a 'special turbo' in them. It is the same turbo that every other '87 TR had - save for the GNX. The WE4 is merely an appearance package.

Perhaps you were thinking about the GNX? Those are far more rare (547) and their turbos are more fragile (ceramic exhaust wheel).
