Default Current source for brake upgrade

I have looked at the info from 2005 and am not sure the info still applies. I will continue my research but on the off chance someone has already found the answers applicable to 2022 I ask the following question:

Has anyone found a neat package solution for:
1 - upgrading the front disc brakes on an '84 GN, and,
2 - upgrading the cylinder size on an '84 GN while retaining the aluminum drums that are standard on my ride.
