Default Front Crankcase Neoprene Seal

I'M NOT VERY GOOD WITH A COMPUTER SO UNTILL MY SON CAN SHOW ME HOW TO GET BACK TO THIS SITE I'LL BE LEAVING MY E-MAIL HOPEFULLY SOMEONE WILL BE ABLE TO HELP ME OUT. I REMOVED THE ROPE SEAL FROM THE TIMING CHAIN COVER-I HAVE AN UPDATED SEAL TO GO IN IT'S PLACE. THERE'S ONE MAJOR PROBLEM ---- I KNOW THE SEAL MUST GO IN FROME INSIDE THE COVER BUT I DON'T KNOW WHICH SIDE SHOULD BE FACING ME WHEN I'M INSTALLING IT. ONE SIDE LOOKING STRAIGHT DOWN AT IT ON A BENCH ALL YOU SEE IS JUST A BLACK 360 RING BUT IF YOU FLIP IT OVER NOW YOU SEE INNER SPRING WHICH I IMAGINE KEEPS TENSION ON THE SEAL. IF SOMEONE COULD HELP ME WITH THIS IT WOULD BE A HAPPY DAY RESPECTFULLY, JIM X1349X E-MAIL jpa-r@comcast.net
